It will depend on the electricity tariff you have, for a residential consumer with our Fixed Price Tariff, you can take advantage of cheaper consumption hours at nights and weekends.

We should know that there are three fundamental periods for the price according to the hours of the day, the most economical being the "off-peak hours":

• Peak hours: In the morning between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.
• Flat hours: From 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., and from 10 p.m. to midnight.
• Valley hours: Between 12 p.m. and 8 a.m., weekends and holidays.

On the other hand, for a consumer with power over 15kW, the cheapest hours depend not only on the time of day, but also on the month of the year.

OMIE (Iberian Energy Market Operator) and the Government are in charge of setting the price of electricity. The former is the one that matches supply and demand to establish the price and the latter is the one that adds access fees and electricity distribution and transportation costs.

It is understood to be a registration of electricity when we need to register the electricity in a house or premises (if it already has electricity, it is only considered as a change of company). Coinciding with the cheapest time of the day, from Monday to Friday from 00:00 am to 8.00 am, and throughout Saturday, Sunday and national holidays. In this period the kilowatt per hour (kWh) is cheaper than in the central hours of the day.
