Tax deductions in personal income tax for self-consumption and renewable energies at the national level

What is a tax deduction?

A tax deduction is a tax benefit that allows taxpayers to reduce their tax burden. In the context of solar panel installations, there are regional and personal income tax deductions that provide incentives to those who choose to install photovoltaic solar energy systems for self-consumption.

They allow you to reduce the IRPF for your installation of solar panels made in the previous year, so that you can recover part of the amount invested in your solar panels installation in your income tax return.

In addition to tax deductions for self-consumption, there are subsidies and grants at both regional and state level that seek to encourage the installation of solar panels and promote the use of renewable energies.

Amount of tax deductions

There are three cases of deductions (incompatible with each other) 40% or 60% on the price of the installationwith a maximum base between 5,000 and 7,500 euros:

Deduction for improvement works that reduce the consumption of non-renewable primary energy.

Deduction of 40% on the price of the installation with a maximum base of €7,500.

Those that have reduced the non-renewable primary energy consumption indicator by at least 30%, or achieved an improvement in the energy rating of the dwelling to obtain an "A" or "B" energy class on the same rating scale.or achieve an improvement in the energy rating of the home to obtain an energy class "A" or "B" on the same rating scale.

Deduction for works of energy energy rehabilitation of buildings.
