New developments in the UtilitEE project in Germany

IV MEETING OCTOBER 2019.

Last Tuesday and Wednesday, October 15 and 16, the partners of the UtilitEE project met in Trier, Germany, with the intention of reviewing the achievements and the latest objectives set to continue progressing in the development of the study funded by the European Commission within the Horizon 2020 innovation program.

During the meeting, we informed our partners about the deployment of technological devices installed in the residential pilots of the Joven Futura urbanization and office buildings located in the Magalia Business Center and in the Murcia Science Park. In turn, the rest of the partners responsible for the other pilots in France, Germany, Poland and Greece also gave an explanation of their respective work.

Last but not least, Suite 5 and ETRA presented the app through which users will be able to monitor their consumption based on the data collected by the devices installed in their homes and, in addition, receive recommendations and advice to improve their energy efficiency. We will soon present this app to the UtilitEE participants so that they can start to familiarize themselves with it.

The objectives set for the work period until the next meeting are to start with demonstrations of the UtilitEE solution as a tool to achieve energy savings by changing consumption habits. There will also be a Living Lab and a distribution of questionnaires where residential and office building participants can give their opinion on the functioning of the app. This information will be used to analyze the results of the tool and will be used to improve it for the next demonstration period.

The next meeting with our partners will be in March in Krakow, Poland. Until then we will continue to work with the participants to achieve the best possible results.
