The project is part of the digitalization process of the electricity supply. Thus, the data provided by the new measuring equipment, as well as the communication technologies, enables us to access a large amount of information. By developing algorithms and using artificial intelligence we are able to get relevant and useful information for the consumer.
All this is available to customers in a simple and intuitive way in the innovative MIW+ web platform that has been developed.

CitizeM is the Smart Cities and Internet of Things Cluster (IoT) of the Region of Murcia. It encompasses companies, universities, town halls, professional colleges, innovation centers and other public and private entities that work together to promote efficiency and well-being in cities through innovation.
Within the area of Energy Efficiency, MIWenergía promotes the efficient application of technologies and new developments in Energy Generation, Distribution and Consumption Systems in cities, as a way of reducing consumption and increasing the share of Renewable Energies in our electrical systems.
The UTILITEE project has been selected by the European Commission in a very competitive process within the Horizon 2020 program. MIWenergía, together with other European entities, analyzes the Energy Savings that can be achieved through the use of ICTs. The aim is to implement new business models in electricity companies, promoting more efficient energy habits.
Leading European entities attend this call and having been selected, together with other partners, to develop the UTILITEE project will allow MIWenergía to learn about the latest technological advances and therefore to offer a higher quality service to customers in the future
The DRIMPAC project has been selected by the European Commission in a very competitive process within the Horizon 2020 program. The main task of DRIMPAC is to develop a comprehensive solution for the Demand Response (Active Demand Management) that could be utilised by small consumers and allow them to actively participate in the electricity market. The project aims to provide a technological framework that facilitates communication between the electricity network and users to achieve greater flexibility in the energy demand and more competitive energy prices for the consumer.
To collaborate in the development of the Intelligent Factory Industry 4.0, and to be able to promote digital transformation and Innovation in Industry, the Catalog of regional companies known as “Technology Enablers in Industry 4.0” has been created in the Development Institute. This catalog has the capacity to carry out and implement a wide range of projects of the so-called 4th Industrial Revolution.
The digital nature of MIWenergía finds excellent accommodation in the development of Industry 4.0.
The MIW+ Microgrid project aims to develop an Energy Management Software capable of providing users with real-time information on their electricity consumption in different areas of their Internal Network.
Its development follows the commitment of MIWenergía for the Digitalization of the Services offered, as well as for the involvement in the development of Industry 4.0.
The project, in collaboration with the University of Murcia, involves the extension of the MIW+ platform through the development of necessary Software, as well as the use of ICTs to communicate, receive and process energy consumption information.
