R&D European projects

Taking part in various projects within a program as competitive as Horizon 2020 of the European Commission is a recognition of the company’s innovative work. Leading European entities attend this call for research and development of technological solutions to different social challenges.
ACCEPT European Project
The project will be the decisive factor to measure its success, generating the solution provided by ACCEPT as a Minimum Viable Product capable of being competitive in the market, and ensuring its financial viability.

ACCEPT Project

Start: January 2021 | Ending: December 2023

 

ACCEPT is the European project that aims to maximize the efficiency of renewable energies through instruments, measures and technologies to ensure that this energy can be used, and remains within the energy community that generated it. The project aims to create pilots with energy communities in the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and Greece, directly involving more than 750 residences and some 3,000 citizens.

 

To achieve this, it is intended to offer energy communities a complete technology and digital tools support so that they can generate stable income sources, ensuring the longevity of the community.

PRECEPT Project

Start: October 2020 | Ending: September 2023

 

PRECEPT is the European project that aims to lay the foundations for the deployment and operation of proactive residential buildings. With the help of the latest technological advances such as BIM, IoT, Big Data and the use of renewable energies, it seeks to reduce energy consumption and costs, achieve high efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.

 

The proposed framework introduces a predictive and proactive (PP) “plug-n-play” building energy management system (BMS) installed locally at the building level, on the Edge-Enable Proactiveness (EEP) device. The proposed managing system is self-adaptive and allows the system self-learning, to be managed, monitored, repaired and optimized, with minimal installation costs and no maintenance.

The PRECEPT approach will offer advanced data visualizations, using Big Data and visual analysis techniques, which together with a social collaboration platform will engage stakeholders in the exchange of best practices. The project will be tested in five different countries, including 250 homes.
The project introduces the concept of Adapt & Play, and has been conceived as the possibility of adapting the devices that exist in buildings to make them “connectable” to the Internet, and thus form part of the IoT environment that communicate to an integral platform control and action.

PHOENIX Project

Start: September 2020 | Ending: August 2023

 

PHOENIX aims to change the role of buildings, from unorganized energy consumers to active agents that orchestrate and optimize their energy consumption, production and storage. Its purpose is threefold: increase energy efficiency, maximize the benefit of the occupants and facilitate the grid operation.

The project will study the different ways in which the transition from non-intelligent or quasi-intelligent to fully intelligent and integrated can be accelerated, while ensuring that this transformation is made towards buildings that create a healthy and safe environment for people.

DataVaults aims to offer a platform that integrates personal data from various sources and that includes secure, reliable and privacy preservation mechanisms that allow the European citizen to make decisions about their digital data by putting them in value and monetizing them under the conditions set by the user. This is a project funded by the European Commission within the Horizon 2020 program.

The project focuses on the commercial exploitation of databases through Big Data analytics ensuring compliance with the Data Protection regulations.
This project is based on the collection of data on the behavior of the patient in order to develop an innovative tool for the prevention and control of the health of the aging population without changing their residence.

Pharaon project

Start: December 2021 | Ending: November 2023

 

The Pharaon project has a total funding of 21 million euros from the Horizon 2020 program of the European Commission. This initiative seeks to investigate and develop a platform on health with the objective of improving the quality of life of the older population with the intention of extending the time they can stay in their home. This project has been selected by the European Commission within the Horizon 2020 program

Start: November 2019 | Ending: October 2022

 

The GrEnFIn project will involve the creation of a comprehensive and innovative training program to provide the energy sector with experts who have the highest level of training in sustainable energy. This European project is funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus + programme.

The DRIMPAC project confirms our company’s outstanding role with its continuous involvement in energy efficiency Research and Development projects at European level.

The project aims to provide a technological framework that facilitates communication between the power grid and users to achieve greater flexibility in the demand for power from the power grid and more competitive energy prices for the consumer. The DRIMPAC project is included in the Horizon 2020 Program of the European Commission.

MIWenergía, together with other European entities, analyzes the Energy Savings that can be achieved through the use of ICTs. The aim is to implement new business models in electricity companies, promoting more efficient energy habits.

 

The UTILITEE project will allow MIWenergía to learn about the latest technological advances and therefore to offer a higher quality service to customers in the future. The UTILITEE project has been selected by the European Commission in a very competitive process within the Horizon 2020 program.

MIW+ Energy Management Web Platform

This Research and Development project consists of an energy management WEB PLATFORM developed by MIWenergía together with the University of Murcia and the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.

Belight project

The project is part of the digitalization process of the electricity supply. Thus, the data provided by the new measuring equipment, as well as the communication technologies, enables us to access a large amount of information. By developing algorithms and using artificial intelligence we are able to get relevant and useful information for the consumer.

 

All this is available to customers in a simple and intuitive way in the innovative MIW+ web platform that has been developed.

uGRID project

The MIW+ Microgrid project aims to develop an Energy Management Software capable of providing users with real-time information on their electricity consumption in different areas of their Internal Network.

 

Its development follows the commitment of MIWenergía for the Digitalization of the Services offered, as well as for the involvement in the development of Industry 4.0.

 

The project, in collaboration with the University of Murcia, involves the extension of the MIW+ platform through the development of necessary Software, as well as the use of ICTs to communicate, receive and process energy consumption information.

 

This project has been co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Institute for the Promotion of the Region of Murcia (INFO).

The data project dashboard will helps to exploit and manage the energy data generated by the company in its daily activity, letting an easy-decision-making.

Business Process Management implementation project

The project includes the development and implementation of a data processing system creating a Business Process Management adapted to the needs of the company itself. The objective is to provide the company with the necessary means for the management of the energy data that will be generated from the activity aimed at improving decision-making with the resulting benefit for the client.

BED Project

The BED (Big Electricity Data) project aims to develop a data extraction platform capable of handling massive sources of information accessible to electricity supply companies.

 

The project has been developed in collaboration with the University of Murcia and has involved the use of Big Data technology and Machine Learning techniques, all aligned with the purpose of continuous improvement of the service offered by MIWenergia to customers.
