At MIWenergía we continue to move towards a cleaner energy transition and, an example of this, is our relevant participation in the new 2.1 MW photovoltaic plant "El Fenazar", located in Molina de Segura and launched by the National Association of Photovoltaic Energy Producers(Anpier).

This participatory ownership project has been carried out through the investment of 2.2 million euros by 100 families and companies from Murcia, including our company, MIWenergía which accounts for 25% of the installed power. With our 0.5 MW participation, we continue to promote the production of renewable energy.

MIWenergía: participation and representation of energy production

The role of MIWenergía is not only that of investor in the solar farm, but for the management of energy in the electricity market is essential the figure of a representative, and that is where we also come into play. As we have a wide experience representing renewable energy producers, we are in charge of selling the energy produced by the "El Fenazar" Solar Park in the electricity market, trying to get the maximum benefit for the producers.

2.1 MW of power to provide green energy in the Murcia Region

The "El Fenazar" photovoltaic plant, which has an installed capacity of 2.1 MW, will provide clean energy to approximately 5,000 homes in Molina de Segura and Fortuna, through the annual production of approximately 3,506 MWh. This renewable energy generation will not only imply a lower cost in the residents' electricity tariffs, but will also contribute to reduce CO2 emissions in the atmosphere, with an estimated saving of 3,856 tons per year.

The photovoltaic plant is equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

The solar farm has been designed with maximum energy efficiency in mind. To this end, 3,541 solar panels have been installed. solar panels 665 W solar panels with an efficiency of 21.7%. This high figure is due to the combination of three innovative technologies: monocrystalline solar panels, split cells and PERC technology. In addition, 9 inverters are installed, 8 of which are 250 kVA and one 125 kVA, designed to operate in all weather conditions, ensuring a constant power supply.

The security of the solar farm has also been a priority, so a state-of-the-art alarm system combining thermal cameras and motion calibration has been installed to protect the photovoltaic installation.

The vast future of the solar farm

On average, a photovoltaic plant has a useful life of 25 to 30 years. In order to prolong its life as much as possible, periodic maintenance will be carried out, ranging from checking the resistance of the cables to carrying out thermographies to identify any irregularities in the solar panels. Other actions will also be carried out, such as cleaning the solar modules and maintaining the ground so that the photovoltaic installation continues to produce energy at maximum performance.

At MIWenergía we are proud to be part of the "El Fenazar" Solar Park, which is making strides towards a more sustainable energy model in the Region of Murcia. From the company, we will continue to promote the use of renewable energies in order to reduce dependence on fossil fuels, thus building a more sustainable future.
