MIWenergía present at the first meeting of the Pharaon Project in Pisa

On January 22, 23 and 24, 2020, the first meeting of our partners of the European Pharaon Project took place in Pisa. It was a first meeting that served to meet the participating entities and organize the first tasks of the European project. MIWenergía Pharaon was represented by our CEO, Ricardo Pérez de Zabalza, who made a brief presentation about the company, the different projects we are currently involved in and our contribution to Pharaon.

The Pharaon project has a total funding of 21 million euros from the European Commission's Horizon 2020 program and comprises a four-year work plan. The Pharaon initiative is aimed at researching and developing a health platform to improve the quality of life of an increasingly aging European population, and to extend the time citizens can live at home. This project is based on the collection of data on patient behavior within the home in order to develop an innovative tool effective enough for monitoring, prevention and control of parameters on the health of users to control their welfare at all times without the need to change their residence.

The data obtained from the study will be useful for the development of an artificial intelligence interpretation system to automate the alarm process and improve the living conditions of the elderly. Making use of innovative tools such as those to be used is a challenge because they must be accessible and manageable for elderly users of the platform.

The Project is composed of a consortium of 41 partners from different sectors in 7 European countries. The consortium is led by the SCUOLA SUPERIORE DI STUDI UNIVERSITARI E DI PERFEZIONAMENTO SANT'ANNA. MIWenergía is participating in the pilot to be carried out in Murcia as responsible for the energy consumption data of the dwellings and its use and integration in the health platform. The demonstrations will serve to define the characteristics and functionalities required for the technology to be developed to be useful and meet the established objectives of the project. The pilots will be carried out in Murcia, Andalusia, Portugal, Italy, Holland and Slovenia. Specifically, the tests will involve 2,500 users who will validate the platform developed throughout the project, which will include different technological solutions such as Big Data, cloud computing and robotics, among others.

From MIWenergia we are really excited to be able to collaborate in a project like Pharaon whose ultimate goal is to help improve the quality of life of citizens and make aging a more dignified process with higher rates of welfare. We assume with great responsibility, together with entities of great prestige and experience, the task entrusted to us and the high expectations placed on Pharaon.
